Muntada Aid has visiting Tanzania for the 3rd time to complete their Little Hearts Project. Already they have saved the lives of 187 children in Tanzania through are award-winning Project there, and now they are in Tanzania with more little hearts will be repaired.
Muntada Aid is a global humanitarian charity which operates in some of the world’s most vulnerable places, by providing much needed assistance to communities that have been affected by disasters, conflicts, and the cycle of poverty.
Working with partners, which are already based in developing countries, Muntada Aid runs sustainable health, educational, water security, capacity building and emergency relief projects.
With equipment for the heart operations arriving from Holland – like guide wires, catheters, lines, and devices for closing holes – the surgeries has began on babies and children in Tanzania and completed
Little Heart Projects
Each year thousands of babies are born with congenital heart defects – since the launch of Almuntada Aid Little Hearts Project they have worked in 8 countries treating thousands of babies and children.
This week their remarkable volunteer medical team was in Tanzania. 82 operations were carried out. It has saved the government 2.8 billion shillings.
The screening/diagnosing of patients started on 8 December, operations started 10 December & finished on 15 December. Medical team of 26 Doctors, Cardiologists, Cardiac surgeons, anaesthetists, Intensivists, Perfussionist, Intensive care nurses. The team was an international medical team from Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Egypt, Jordan, India, Philipnes.
They hopefully plan to visit The Islamic Foundation on Saturday and we hope a partnership can be created for the betterment of humanity. More update will be published soon
